The Flukes
We are a group of enthusiastic amateurs musicians who have a mutual love of music and performing.
Using ukuleles ( and we have a few of these of various sizes and types) to accompany our music, we play various genres of music with a good mix, as well many songs that aren’t so often heard using a ukulele as an accompaniment.
We are joined by a Bass player and a percussionist to add to the whole effect.
We started with just Martyn and Peter on Ukuleles with Richard on Bass and Roger on Percussion, to that initial group as in the photo below, we also now have in addition Dave and Mike also on Ukuleles. Unfortunately due to Peter ( the one with the hat ) having had a stroke we are down to just the 5 of us at the moment. Of course we wish Peter a speedy recovery.

We have played at a Day Care Centre in Winchcombe, the Tewkesbury Day Care Centre, the Berkeley Arms in Tewkesbury, The Old Baptist Chapel and the Gupshill Manor in Tewkesbury.
Most recently we have performed at The Bell in Tewkesbury for the Tewkesbury live Weekend.
We have been well received on each occasion.
We played on the 11th November 2023 at The Old Black Bear, Tewkesbury to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Research, we were well received and raised over £340
We played a set on the 7th November 2023 at the Leonard Cheshire home in Cheltenham where we were very well received.
We took part in the Tewkesbury Big Music Weekend on the 30th July as well as a private party at the Watson Hall on the 5th Aug’ and The Day Care Centre in August summer party also in Tewkesbury.
